Game Description
Shikaku
Shikaku (四角に切れ) is a puzzle game where you divide a grid into rectangles and squares based on the numbers provided. Each number indicates how many cells should be in that rectangle. The goal is to fill the entire grid without overlapping rectangles and ensuring each rectangle contains exactly one number that matches its area.
This game is inspired by the classic pencil and paper puzzle of the same name, and it's a great way to challenge your spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills. My version is very simple, and originally idea was to make just the 5x5 version aimed at younger players, but I ended up adding a 10x10 mode as well for some added challenge.
🕹️ Controls:
This game has mouse controls on desktop and touch controls on mobile. In 5x5 mode you get automatic suggestions when you click/tap the numbers. Click again to cancel the suggestion. In 10x10 mode you can create your own shapes freely. Click or tap to select a cell, then drag to create a rectangle or square. Release to finalize the shape.
Thanks, bye!
