About Me
Hi! I'm Teppo Gustafsson. Also known sometimes as Potatopasty. A hobbyist game developer, amateur at
everything else. I am a person, not a marketing opportunity. Human, not an AI.
I try to make games I enjoy playing and there is always hope that others could enjoy them too.
Previously I used vanilla Javascript, but lately I've been using Pico-8 and just recently I've been
starting also with TIC-80.
My background in gaming goes back all the way to early 1980s Commodore 64 games. I got a used C64 in 1988, and
with it a cassette drive with - let's be honest - not the most recent games. One game that has stuck in my
head is "House Of Usher" by Anirog Software. Great title screen, but crappy game. Another, much
better game I remember fondly from those days is "Beach-Head" by Access Software and published by
U.S. Gold in Europe. There were many other great games on C64, but those two are the ones that I actually had as
originals. Let's face it, most games were pirated back then.
My games are inspired by these, and many other retro games from the 80s and 90s. I love pixel art, chiptune
music, and simple gameplay. I try to create experiences that evoke nostalgia while still feeling fresh and
fun.
About Games
My games are free to play, free of ads, pop-ups, and in-app purchases. No gambling mechanics or
other distractions. You can play my games directly in your browser or download some of
them for offline play. When indicated, games have support for mobile devices, but not all games may work
perfectly. If you encounter issues, let me know, and I'll do my best
to fix them.
About This Site
I'm more than old enough to remember... I was online before the feeds. Before the
tracking. Before the sales pitch. Before the adds. Before anxiety. We didn't sign up â We showed up.
This is my corner of the web. It's not optimized, monetized, or algorithmically sorted â just mine. This site
is inspired by the early days of the internet, when personal pages, fansites, and webrings were the
norm. It's a place where I can freely share my work, thoughts, and interests without the noise or distractions
of modern social media. It's a place where I can be myself, and I hope you can be yourself too.
There are no likes, subscriptions, or terms of service here. If you like my content, stay a while. If you
don't, you're free to go. No one knows you've been here. No one is tracking you. No one is watching you. No
one is judging you.
This site might be broken, messy, or incomplete â we are all a work in progress. I hope
you enjoy your time here. If you have any questions, suggestions, or just want to say hi, feel free to reach
out via the contact page.
