Game Description
Hitori is a Japanese logic puzzle game that challenges you to eliminate duplicate numbers from a grid while following three simple rules. This is an excellent brain-training puzzle that enhances pattern recognition skills.
Hitori is played on a square grid, this time 5x5. Each cell contains a number between 1 to 5, and the objective is to shade certain cells so that the grid meets the following conditions:
No duplicate numbers in any row or column:
- Once blacked-out, a number is no longer considered part of
the grid.
Blacked-out cells cannot touch each other:
- Shaded cells must not be adjacent horizontally or
vertically. If they are, shading is colored red.
All non-blacked-out cells must remain connected:
- Every unshaded cell must form a single, horizontally
or vertically connected group to prevent isolated numbers. If cell is isolated, it gets light red color.
