I dusted off my old Asteroids clone and reskinned it. Now it's an emoji shooter! It turned out to be a very awesome game!
Like every game I've made, this is not a clone. There are several design changes, so die-hard Asteroids fans might need some time to adjust. One obvious change is the bullet behavior: bullets no longer wrap around the screen, so no more UFO sniping! I've also added a shield to the player's rocket. This shield can take three hits, either from UFO bullets or asteroids. But be aware, UFO bullets can deplete the shield quite quickly!
I hope you have as much fun playing the game as I had making it.
